AI SEO Services
Entity signals, answer-first content, and citation tracking that put your brand inside the answers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity give your buyers.
AI SEO is the work of getting a business named and cited by AI answer engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity. It is built for companies whose buyers now ask an assistant who to hire or what to buy instead of scanning ten blue links.

What is AI SEO?
AI SEO is the practice of making a business visible in AI-generated answers as well as classic search results. It covers entity consistency, answer-first content, structured data, and the review and mention signals that ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity weigh when they decide which sources to name. Traditional SEO gets you ranked; AI SEO gets you cited.
Egochi is an AI SEO company built on a classic search backbone. We have built search visibility since 2014, with 250+ Google reviews and 190+ Clutch reviews at a 5.0 rating behind the work, and we treat AI visibility the way we treat rankings: signals you can build, numbers you can track, no promised placements. The next step costs nothing: a free AI visibility audit showing which prompts in your market already name you, and which name your competitors.
What an Earned AI Citation Looks Like
When a buyer asks an assistant who to hire, the answer names two or three businesses and cites its sources. This program exists to make yours one of them.

How AI Changed Search
Three shifts, each with a named source. No invented market shares.
- 1.5 billion people see Google AI Overviews each month Alphabet Q1 2025 earnings call
- 800 million weekly ChatGPT users OpenAI, October 2025
- 58.5% of US Google searches end without a click SparkToro and Datos, 2024
The results page grew an answer above it. Google reported that AI Overviews reach more than 1.5 billion people a month, and those summaries sit above the first organic listing while citing only a handful of sources. AI Mode, the conversational search Google now runs beside those summaries, assembles its answers from the same cited handful.
A second front opened away from Google entirely. OpenAI reported 800 million weekly ChatGPT users in late 2025: people asking for recommendations in plain language and getting three names back instead of ten links. Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Grok answer the same way, drawing on the same public signals.
And clicking was already optional. SparkToro and Datos measured 58.5% of US Google searches ending without a click in 2024, before AI Overviews finished rolling out.
Winning that box is its own discipline: our AI Overviews SEO program covers what triggers it and how cited sources get picked.
None of that ends search. It changes what winning looks like: being a source the answer is built from, instead of a link below it.
What GEO, AEO, and LLMO Actually Mean
Three terms you will meet in every AI SEO proposal, pinned down in plain language.
-
Generative Engine Optimization
Generative engine optimization is the work of earning citations from engines that generate answers by synthesizing sources: Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and chatbot search modes. It focuses on being one of the sources an answer is assembled from. We treat GEO as a discipline inside AI SEO, not a separate purchase.
-
Answer Engine Optimization
Answer engine optimization is the craft of structuring content so machines can extract it: direct answers up front, clean question-and-answer formatting, FAQ schema that matches the visible text, and definitions written to be quoted. Featured snippets and voice assistants run on the same answer engine optimization.
-
LLM Optimization
A close cousin of generative engine optimization, LLM optimization (LLMO) is the work of shaping how the large language models themselves describe a brand: entity consistency, third-party coverage, and the mentions that survive into training data, so ChatGPT or Gemini describe you accurately even when they are not browsing.
Each of these runs at full depth inside the program. The definitions sit here so you can pin down what any proposal, ours included, is actually selling. See the full GEO and LLMO program, or the AEO program built to be quoted.
Is AI SEO different from GEO?
GEO, generative engine optimization, is one discipline inside AI SEO: the part focused on getting cited by engines that generate answers, like Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. AI SEO is the umbrella that also covers answer engine optimization, entity work, structured data, and citation tracking. If a proposal treats the terms as interchangeable, ask exactly which surfaces will be measured.
What Is Inside the AI SEO Program
Six workstreams, run together, because citation signals compound: the entity data makes the content believable, the coverage makes the entity checkable, and the tracking says whether any of it moved.
-
Entity and Schema Signals
One identity everywhere machines look: name, address, description, and Organization schema that agree across your site, profiles, and directories. Answer engines cross-check sources before naming a brand, and conflicting data is the quietest way to get skipped.
-
Answer-First Content
Pages restructured to answer first and prove second: clear definitions, quotable passages, and question blocks matched to the prompts buyers actually type. Engines cite what they can lift cleanly; content that buries its answer never gets quoted.
-
Citation-Source Coverage
Chatbots rarely cite a brand only its own website vouches for. We build reviews, directory profiles, and third-party mentions on the sources answer engines read in your category: industry directories, local press, and comparison coverage.
-
Technical Foundations for AI Crawlers
Crawl access and clean rendering for the bots that feed AI answers: GPTBot, Google-Extended, PerplexityBot, and the rest. Whether to allow each one is a deliberate decision we make with you; blocking them by accident is more common than most owners realize.
-
llms.txt and Structured Data
A maintained llms.txt file stating who you are, what you do, and where you operate, plus FAQPage, Service, and LocalBusiness markup that matches the visible page word for word. If the markup says it, the page must show it.
-
Monthly AI-Citation Tracking
A fixed panel of the prompts your buyers ask, run against ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity every month. The report names which answers cite you, which cite competitors, and what changed since last month, beside your classic rankings.
Our AI SEO Process
Five plain program steps. No secret framework claims, no invented stages: this is the work, in the order it happens.
-
AI Visibility Baseline
We run your buyer prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity and record who gets named today: you, competitors, or nobody. Entity consistency, AI-crawler access, and schema coverage get audited in the same pass. The baseline is the honest starting line every later report is measured against.
-
Entity and Access Fixes
Conflicting business data gets reconciled across your site, profiles, and directories. Organization and LocalBusiness schema go in, AI crawlers get deliberate access rules, and llms.txt ships. Unglamorous work, and the reason the content that follows gets trusted.
-
Answer-First Content Work
The pages your buyer questions map to get rewritten to answer first and prove second, with question blocks matched to real prompts and passages an engine can quote without editing. New pages are added only where the prompt panel shows a gap.
-
Citation-Source Coverage
Reviews, directory profiles, and third-party mentions get built on the sources each platform cites in your category. Which sources those are is an audit finding, not a guess: they differ by industry and by engine, and we show you the list.
-
Track, Report, Iterate
The prompt panel runs monthly. The report shows which answers name you, which name competitors, and what moved, beside classic rankings and traffic. Wins get reinforced, misses get diagnosed, and the panel grows as new buyer prompts appear.
AI SEO is not a bolt-on. These steps run inside the EGOCHI VERTEX™ Growth System, the system behind every Egochi program; read how its six phases fit together.
AI SEO vs Traditional SEO
Not rivals. Two scoreboards on the same work, and an honest row about where each one loses.
| Factor | Traditional SEO | AI SEO |
|---|---|---|
| The win | A position on the results page and the click it earns | A citation inside the generated answer, with or without a click |
| How it is measured | Rank tracking, organic sessions, conversions, ROI | A monthly prompt panel recording which answers name you and what they cite |
| Content that wins | Depth and topical coverage built around queries | Direct answers, clear entity definitions, passages an engine can quote unedited |
| Technical layer | Crawlability, speed, Core Web Vitals | The same, plus deliberate access for AI crawlers, llms.txt, and schema that matches the page |
| Timeline | 3 to 6 months for stable movement | Weeks where AI Overviews follow existing rankings; slower where model refreshes decide |
| Where it wins | High-intent searches where people still compare and click | Recommendation prompts where the buyer never sees a results page |
| Honest limitation | Zero-click answers can sit above even a first-place result | Nobody controls the output; the same prompt can answer differently tomorrow |
The Honest Read
AI SEO is a layer, not a replacement. Every signal in the AI column sits on foundations that traditional SEO builds: crawlable pages, real authority, content worth citing. If budget forces a choice, build the base with our search engine optimization services first; citations follow sources that already exist.
How much do AI SEO services cost?
AI SEO at Egochi runs inside our monthly SEO programs rather than as a separate line item, and programs start at $1,500 monthly, scaling with market competition and scope. Standalone audits run $2,500 to $10,000 one-time. The free AI visibility audit on this page shows what your market actually requires before any number is quoted.
Is AI SEO Right for You?
This is for you if
- Your buyers ask AI for recommendations: competitive local services, B2B categories where shortlists get built by research, and ecommerce niches where best-of prompts are common.
- You already have SEO foundations: a site that ranks for something, a review base, and content worth citing. AI visibility work compounds an existing presence instead of substituting for one.
- You care what AI says about your brand by name. Prospects increasingly ask assistants about a company before calling it, and the same signals shape those answers.
This may not be the right fit if
- AI platforms rarely answer in your category yet. If the prompt panel comes back empty for your niche, we will say so in the audit rather than sell a program aimed at answers nobody is generating.
- You have no organic base yet. AI systems cite sources they can find and verify; with no rankings, reviews, or coverage, traditional SEO has to come first. We route people there all the time, and the audit will say so plainly if that is you.
Serving one city or region? Start with our local SEO services: the profile, review, and map signals that program builds are the same ones assistants read when someone asks for a business nearby.
Fair Questions Before You Hire an AI SEO Agency
The objections we hear on sales calls, answered the way we answer them there, including the parts that cost us deals.
Can anyone really control what an AI assistant says?
No. The model providers decide how answers get assembled, the systems change without notice, and the same prompt can return different answers on different days. Anyone selling a promised placement inside ChatGPT or AI Overviews is selling smoke. What can be done honestly: build the signals those systems verifiably weigh, then track which queries name you and report the movement.
Is AI killing SEO?
Clicks on informational queries are falling, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. What is not falling is the research itself; it moved into answers. Those answers are assembled from crawled pages, reviews, and authority signals, the exact things SEO builds. The work did not die, the scoreboard changed: fewer raw clicks, more weight on whether the answer names you.
Do I need AI SEO if I already rank number one?
Ranking first helps, and for AI Overviews it meaningfully raises your citation odds. It does not settle the chatbot side: ChatGPT and Perplexity routinely name brands pulled from review sites, comparison articles, and forums rather than from whoever ranks first. A number-one position with thin third-party coverage can sit invisible inside the answers your buyers actually read.
Is AI SEO just regular SEO with a new invoice?
Partly yes, and you should distrust anyone who denies it. The foundations are identical: crawlable pages, genuine authority, content worth citing. What is genuinely new: prompt-level citation tracking, deliberate AI-crawler access, entity reconciliation across every source machines check, and llms.txt. If an agency quotes you separately for both without new deliverables, you are being charged twice for one job.
AI SEO Case Studies
The case figures above are confirmed client outcomes measured in GA4 and Search Console. Systematic AI-citation tracking is newer than most of these engagements, so where AI visibility is claimed, it is observed today, not retrofitted. New programs get a citation baseline in month one and honest movement reports after.

How do I get my business mentioned by ChatGPT?
Make your business easy to verify and easy to quote. That means one consistent name, address, and description everywhere online, service pages that answer real questions directly, structured data that machines can parse, and reviews plus third-party mentions on the sources ChatGPT reads. No agency can force a mention; the work raises the odds and monthly tracking shows which prompts name you.
Our ChatGPT SEO program covers both paths: what the model remembers and what it looks up.
AI SEO FAQs
What is the difference between AI SEO and traditional SEO?
Traditional SEO earns positions on a results page and clicks from them. AI SEO earns citations inside generated answers from ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity. The foundations overlap heavily: crawlable pages, genuine authority, structured data. What changes is the target and the measurement: instead of tracking positions alone, we track which prompts and questions name your brand each month.
How do AI systems choose which sources to cite?
Each platform works differently, and none publishes its rules. Observed patterns are consistent: they favor sources that answer the question directly, agree with other sources about who you are, carry structured data machines can parse, and show up in reviews and third-party coverage. Google AI Overviews lean on pages that already rank. Chatbots lean on entity recognition and well-covered brands.
Does AI SEO replace traditional SEO?
No. AI SEO builds on traditional SEO and fails without it. Google AI Overviews cite pages that rank; Perplexity crawls the same web Google does; chatbots weigh the authority signals classic SEO builds. A site with no organic base has nothing for AI systems to find. We treat AI visibility as a layer on a working SEO program, not a replacement for one.
How long does AI SEO take to show results?
Plan on 3 to 6 months, the same window as traditional SEO, because the signals are shared. Changes tied to existing rankings can surface in AI Overviews within weeks. Mentions inside chatbot answers move slowest, since they depend on when each model refreshes its index or training data. We baseline your citations in month one so movement is measured, not guessed.
Can AI write my SEO content?
AI can help research and draft, and we use it that way. It cannot supply the things that earn citations: first-hand experience, original numbers, a real point of view, and claims a machine can verify against your reputation. Pages generated wholesale tend to say what every other page says, which is exactly what answer engines have no reason to quote.
How do you track AI search visibility?
We run a fixed panel of buyer prompts against ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity every month and record which answers name you, which name competitors, and what sources each answer cites. That sits beside classic rank tracking in the same report. AI platforms personalize responses, so we report patterns across runs rather than pretending one screenshot is the truth.
What schema markup matters most for AI SEO?
Organization and LocalBusiness schema establish who you are, FAQPage schema structures the questions you answer, and Article, Service, and Product markup describe what each page covers. The rule that matters more than the type list: schema must match what the page visibly says. Markup that describes content the visitor cannot see gets ignored at best and distrusted at worst.
How often do AI systems refresh their data?
Google AI Overviews draw on the live index, so changes can show within days of recrawling. Perplexity crawls continuously. ChatGPT and Gemini blend trained knowledge with live browsing: browsing picks up changes quickly, while the underlying models update on the provider’s schedule, sometimes months apart. This split is why we track citation movement monthly instead of promising a date.
Which businesses get the most from AI SEO?
Businesses whose buyers ask for recommendations: legal, medical, home services, B2B software, and ecommerce categories where best-of prompts are common. If people ask ChatGPT who to hire or what to buy in your category, the answer either names you or names a competitor. Categories AI platforms rarely answer yet see less value, and we say so in the audit.
What is included in Egochi’s AI SEO services?
Entity and schema work, answer-first content, citation-source coverage across reviews and third-party mentions, technical access for AI crawlers, an llms.txt file, and monthly reporting on which prompts name your brand. The mix follows the audit, and the program runs month to month: no long contract, and the findings are yours whether or not you hire us.
Free AI Visibility Audit
We run a panel of buyer prompts for your market across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and Perplexity, then check your entity consistency, schema, and AI-crawler access. You get the findings either way, whether or not you hire us.
Ready to Be the Answer?
Tell us about your business and we will send a plan with real numbers in it: which prompts matter in your market, who they name today, and what it takes to change that.
